Case Merge Premium is a purpose-built add-on for Salesforce.com that allows authorized users to Find Duplicate cases and Merge them together. Child objects such as comments, attachments and emails are cloned to the master (parent) record and the duplicate cases are closed and related to the master (parent) case as child cases.
When used with Email to Case Premium, inbound email updates on duplicate (child) cases are automatically re-associated with the appropriate master (parent) case providing a seamless experience, both pre-merge and post-merge. Additionally, comments added via the Self-Service, Partner, and Customer Portals are cloned to the master (parent) case automatically.
